Across countries and systems, Election Management Bodies (EMBs) may be aware of different types of populations which can be either under-represented in electoral democracy or have less positive electoral experiences. In different countries, EMBs may be taking particular initiatives to improve the electoral experience of first time voters, young voters more generally or elderly ones, in some cases initiative may be targeted at female voters, people from certain regions, or alternatively at the members of given linguistic or ethnic minorities. Under this category, we look at best practice in places where EMBs want to improve the electoral experience of key target categories.
